Day 5

Today we lunched at Maurice, a new favourite spot, and Courier coffee after. Then a bit of window shopping in the Pearl and around town: Frances May, Canoe and Oblation Press. We also found ourselves at Clyde Common for Happy Hour where we joined Cynthia and Steve for a fun night out in SE Division at the SE Wine collective and PokPok. We had fun.

Day 4

Today we went for a run in the Willamette Valley and saw a herd of deer! It is such a lovely part of the world. Before heading out, we spent a relaxing time in the spa. We ended up in the up and coming area of South Waterfront in Portland to celebrate Christmas with Brian and Tannis in their new home in the sky. Stellar views of the Willamette River and downtown Portland. An amazing evening all round.

Day 3

After coffee at Stumptown and breakfast at Little T Baker in Union Way, we were off to the Willamette Valley. Wine by the fire, an amazing meal. We enjoyed.

Day 2

Up early, we were off to the Alberta Arts district after a quick stop in Killingsworth for yummy breakfast at Sweedeedee. We stopped at Barista (coffee!), Monocle books and Antler (cool bee exhibit). For lunch, we were in Laurelhurst where we enjoyed forest mushroom soup at Paadee and a visit to Smut vintage for retro curios. Very Portland! We ended up in the Pearl for martinis at Vault, dinner at Ned Ludd and then out to Aalto in Belmont. It was a busy day.

Day 1

After a pit stop at Matchstick, we headed south first to Seattle where we had a yummy lunch at Sitka and Spruce in Capitol Hill and then a visit with Eleanor in her new hood of Fremont.
We made it to the Nines right in the heart of Portland where we enjoyed martinis in the Departure lounge on the roof. A great way to start the trip!
